A Taste of Le Manoir

10 November 2022

This week our Managing Director and passionate venue finder Jo was invited by Belmond to visit the idyllic Le Manoir aux Quat’saisons. As well as sample the culinary delights from the Raymond Blanc Cookery school to get a taste of le Manoir.

After arriving at the venue, the first day was kicked off with a tour of the botanic gardens with renowned gardener August Bernstein. Guests were invited to participate in planting their own micro herbs. Then everyone got to taste the unique house gin blend distilled by William Lowe of Cambridge Distillery.

Afterwards everyone sat down for lunch for our first taste of le Manoir surrounded by the beauty of the postcard-perfect gardens before being shown around the La Belle époque wing of the property. The private wing can be booked as an elegant country retreat for private parties.

Rest in style

In the afternoon guests had the opportunity to enjoy their individually designed hotel rooms inspired by Raymond Blanc’s own travel adventures.

Raymond Blanc Cookery School

Before dinner, everyone had the opportunity to pick up a couple of cooking skills at the Raymond Blanc cookery school. Watching the masters at work made the Michelin star meal even more delicious afterwards. The restaurant was recognised with a Green Michelin Star for their sustainable practices in sourcing local produce in their meals

After a good nights sleep, guests enjoyed a lovely breakfast at the restaurant before setting off. Thank you to Jeanette and Perrine at Belmond for making Jo’s stay at Le Manoir so special!
