In-Office Christmas Installations

24 July 2023

There are lots of venues that can house the perfect Christmas party, but in some cases the most ideal venue of all is in your own office. Last year we were lucky to work on a number of in-office Christmas installations. Some themed, some not and some larger than others. Traditional and conceptual, fully themed or just enough to throw a great party, we did them all.

Alpine Lodge

Our Farringdon based client asked us to transform their office into an Alpine Ski Lodge for Christmas 2022. We created an impactful entrance with a vintage cable car, uplighting, trees and a grizzly bear!

For the reception area, we kept it simple yet elegant with alpine foliage arrangement, vintage skis, and a sledge. Then the corridor was decorated with alpine garlands, fairy lights, vintage skis, and poles. In addition, floor-based lanterns with flickering candles added a warm glow. At the end of the corridor, there was an arrangement of trees, logs, lanterns, and a penguin to attract visitors.

The main space had a wall of windows overlooking the entrance courtyard and a grizzly bear. Snow vinyls decorated the windows, creating a wintery atmosphere despite the rain outside. Inside, we had a custom backdrop resembling the interior of a log cabin, a log bar, an ale bar, rustic wooden poseur tables, and warmly lit lanterns and up-lighters. A large alpine arrangement on a sideboard not only looked incredible but also filled the space with the scent of an alpine forest.

Caterers were brought in to serve delicious alpine-themed canapés, complete with waiters wearing ski goggles and salopettes. We aimed for consistency throughout all the spaces, ensuring every element tied in and reinforced the theme. This included the dressing, canapé selection, and foliage, which looked and smelled fantastic.

Winter Dome

Next, we organised a month-long installation of three festive pods in a beautiful office space near Barbican, offering stunning views of St. Pauls and central London. The pods transformed a large balcony into a cosy and inviting area for hosting parties throughout the festive period. The domes featured stove heaters, fur blankets, and incorporated existing balcony furniture to maintain the original aesthetic and integrate the Christmas theme into the office.

Inside, we expanded the winter aesthetic with installations of snowy pine trees, animatronic animals, candle effect lanterns and a huge central fireplace to enjoy a mulled wine around. The overall result was amazingly effective, a change in lighting accompanied by some well placed props turned the large office common area into the perfect place to host a party. Clients and internal staff could enjoy the space and made this month of Christmas celebrations unforgettable.

The installation was kept a surprise and was met with amazing feedback and it goes to show how far a temporary installation can go to refreshing a space and ensuring that you are getting the most out of your work spaces at Christmas. The burning question is what will the preferred theme be for 2023 – Elf, Circus, Narnia, The Nutcracker or even a traditional Christmas???

If you are having an in office party this year, let us know! We would love to create something amazing for you! Please email and one of our Christmas elves will be able to help.
