Is Halloween the best time to throw a corporate Party?

6 September 2023

We have organised some truly spectacular Halloween parties over the years, both for our clients and even in our own offices, and with October 31st just around the corner, we thought we’d remind you of the benefits of considering a Halloween themed event this year.

Venue Availability

October is a great time of year to have a party and if you do organise an event, there is rarely too much competition from other events to eat away at your audience. Halloween is on a Tuesday night this year after all. Venue availability is usually a bit easier than it is in the Summer or at Christmas, so you should be able to get the perfect location on your preferred date.

An inclusive Occasion

Whilst Halloween was originally a pagan celebration to welcome the harvest at the end of Summer, it’s a pretty inclusive theme for your audience. Whether you ask your guests to don fancy dress or not, pretty much everyone is excited by spooky or horror related, theming, entertainment and food & beverage. It’s good old-fashioned fun but a well run event will be truly memorable.

Halloween Theming

The trick to a good party is using a venue that we are able to theme and deck out in all sorts of Halloween theming.  Somewhere dark, where we can install spiders webs, skeletons, Jack o Lanterns, rats, spiders, bats, witches cauldrons, gravestones, pumpkins, black cats and more!  Add appropriate music, some dry ice, fancy dress, Photobooth, actors in full dress, party games and spooky installations and the first impression that your guests have will be spooktacular!  There’s also loads of fun that you can have with Halloween themed cocktails and mocktails (Witches Brew, Vampires Kiss, Bloody Mary anyone?), with food service easy to theme too, regardless of whether you are having canapes, buffet or sit down meal.

LinkedIn’s Glam Rock Halloween

LinkedIn wanted to create an immersive, exciting and interactive live Halloween event for 150 guests from LinkedIn’s top tier agencies. We brought their chosen theme of Glam Rock to life with branded decorations, themed graphics across all collateral and entertainment including a drag host, DJ and dancers for their party at Dabber’s Bingo.

Themed Entertainment

If you can get guests to come in fancy dress, fantastic, but don’t worry if not. We can provide hats, gloves, cloaks & masks so guests can upgrade their work clothes and a make up artist or two can easily add some Hammer House of Horror effects!  Remember to take the blood off before getting on the tube at the end of the evening though!  Our DJ or live band will play Halloween themed music – The Time Warp is sure to make an appearance at some stage – and a Zombie flash mob, Witch & Wizard magicians, Tarot card readers, stilt walkers, contortionists, fire artists and Horror movie characters can all add to the theme at various stages of the evening.

Monster Ball

Our client briefed us with throwing the ultimate monster ball themed event with plenty of fun and imagination. Key items included: a fully dressed venue, walkabout entertainment, on-site spooky make-up artists, a fancy dress competition, spooky food, pre-event teaser gifts for top agencies, and a social media element to the evening.

In summary, Halloween parties are enormous fun, memorable and at a great time of year.  Perhaps it’s time to consider one for 2023 or 2024? Our party planners and event managers will be happy to help, get in touch with them below:
