Amazing New Venues From Around The World

11 June 2018

A few weeks ago Frankfurt hosted most of the world’s event professionals all in one spot for their worldwide exhibition for meetings and events, IMEX. A whirlwind two-day event which saw Hollie, our Venue Sales Manager, meet with over 30 suppliers to learn about new and exciting openings and updates within the world of hotels.

Hollie has selected three of her favourite finds from the show, all of which she is really excited about and thinks will be hugely popular for a variety of different events…maybe one’s right for you?

Kimpton De Witt Hotel – Amsterdam

First up is the Kimpton De Witt Hotel, located in the beautiful Dutch capital, Amsterdam. Known for its history, culture and metropolitan feel, the city is not short of hotels ranging in style and size, but its newest addition is the first European property for the Kimpton brand.

The Kimpton De Witt Hotel is situated in the heart of the city centre and boasts a mixture of modern and luxury styles. Although it has 247 bedrooms, there is a boutique feel to the spaces throughout which creates a sense of intimacy. This hotel is perfect for media and fashion brands, or companies who simply want something fresh and new.

With 11 flexible meeting spaces, including a penthouse apartment and several bar and restaurant outlets that can be exclusively hired, there are endless options for your style of event.

The Columbus Hotel – Monaco

Sticking with the boutique theme, Monte Carlo is welcoming the re-opening of The Columbus Hotel. Totally renovated in 2018, the 181 bedroom property is brilliantly located overlooking the Fontvieille Port. Uniquely, The Columbus does not have any dedicated event space but instead utilises its suites, which can be converted into meeting rooms for up to 12 people.

This set-up is ideal for high-end board meetings and for clients who want a more informal meeting style. Monaco itself is a thrilling destination and has so much to offer, but this boutique addition will offer something that Monte Carlo has been lacking.

W Hotel – Dubai

My personal favourite! I had the pleasure of learning about the incredible new W Hotel opening in Dubai on the iconic Palm later this year. The W Brand is renowned for its quirky design, but this hotel takes it to a whole new level!

Its 350 bedrooms have been boldly designed and are vast in size. One of the key suites even has its own bar and catwalk! In true Dubai style food and nightlife play a big part – The W will have five dining options on-site, including a vibrant rooftop space with a Miami carnival feel, and a high-end Japanese and Korean restaurant. I can see this hotel being the next ‘it’ venue in Dubai – perfect for incentives, The W will definitely be an Instagrammer’s dream!
