AOK Events - Live Events, Venue Finding and Official Hospitality Packages

With events coming back and after a brilliant start to the year for AOK Events, we gathered the team for the first time in two years to reflect on our successes, bond after working from home for so long and to plan for the year ahead.

We settled into the Aviator Hotel early on Thursday morning and kicked things off with a reflection and celebration of 2021, followed by an introduction to our new entertainment service (AOK Entertains). Shock horror, Hollie came top of the class in the AOK Entertains quiz and was presented with a sparkly microphone prize. 

After a quick coffee break, we welcomed Emilie from Yellow Door Training into the room, who ran a brilliant workshop on internal and external communication and helped everyone understand their personal communication styles and how to improve client and team relationships.

Next, Becky Harmer from LinkedIn gave a wonderful insight on the future of corporate events and how AOK Events can support moving forwards. She brought along her golden doodle Milo who stole the show and lifted team spirits as we anticipated a well-deserved lunch break.

After a bite to eat, we ran through our strategy for 2022 and brainstormed in groups to tackle future challenges and how we can do better as an organisation and place to work.

In the afternoon we headed over to TeamSports Farnborough for a round of Go-Karting, were suited up and with helmets, a healthy dose of competitive spirit determined our race winners in a tire squeaking and exhilarating round of motorsport. Tom and Jo took the lead in their groups with Emma and Dan Wheeler coming in second and Louise and Alex taking third place.

Battered and bruised after racing, everyone glammed up and we started the evening with a cocktail reception at the Hotel bar, before sitting down for a three-course menu.

In good old AOK Events fashion, the evening concluded on a round of Musical Bingo with top prizes won by Elle, Hollie and Amanda who will be renaming our office meeting rooms for the year to come.
