Back in March, our venue finder Jon was lucky enough to spend a long weekend in Venice with our friends at Hilton Hotels & Resorts. As part of our mission to help clients plan the perfect company offsite in Venice, it was the perfect chance to explore the city properly while checking out some seriously impressive hotels and venues along the way.

- USP: The hotel’s biggest USP is the building itself, a restored 19th-century flour mill with spacious interiors and a more modern feel than many traditional Venetian hotels. The hotel is also home to Venice’s highest rooftop bar, plus a rooftop pool with panoramic views across the city skyline and lagoon.
The Hilton Molino Stucky is the second-largest building in all of Venice, behind only the famous Armoury, and offers some of the best views the city has to offer. Standing high above the Giudecca Canal, the Hilton’s 379 bedrooms and 18 meeting and event spaces showcase classic Italian design with modern touches, as well as a nod to Venice’s maritime history.
For the best view in the city, you can head up to the Presidential Suite, which has its own private turret with a view across the whole of Venice. Not only does it feature its own turret, but guests can enjoy a private gym and hot tub, or use the space for board meetings or drinks receptions.

- USP: One of the hotel’s biggest USPs is its location; you get uninterrupted Grand Canal views while still being tucked away enough to avoid the busiest crowds. Guests regularly mention the canal-side terraces and breakfast views as standout features.
The St. Regis is one of the finest hotels in Venice. Nestled on the banks of the Grand Canal, the hotel occupies a beautiful building and houses an extensive art collection that is worth the visit alone.
Last renovated in 2019, the hotel’s 163 bedrooms & suites and 10 meeting spaces (including its stunning Canaletto Ballroom) capture the essence of Venice in their design – with exposed ceiling beams and seascapes adorning the walls of the bedrooms.
What to do in Venice

Glass-blowing Demonstration
The island of Murano is known the world over for its glass heritage, and you can take advantage of the numerous workshops here to enjoy a glass-blowing demonstration from one of the city’s glass masters.
Walking Tour
There is plenty of history to be found in Venice’s many winding streets and bridges. A tour through the Dorsodouro, San Marco, and San Polo districts is an excellent way to familiarise your group with the city, while soaking up its culture as well.
Venetian Carnival Mask-making
One of the things Venice is most famous for is its carnival, where the city dons their masks and comes together to celebrate for two weeks. Your group can get in the carnival spirit by creating their own masks.
Gondola Trips
Venice’s famous gondolas are available for hire all through the city and are a great way to navigate the city’s many canals.

The Hilton’s meeting and events capabilities are simply unparalleled in Venice. With its numerous meeting spaces and a large bedroom offering, conferences, big or small, can be held here, completely in-house.
The Classical Venetian Ballroom can host up to 900 guests and can be split up into 5 sections, allowing for as much flexibility as your conference needs. The upstairs breakout rooms offer plenty of opportunities for your group to be split up, but some of the rooms can also be combined to create a larger space, offering an even greater degree of flexibility.
JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa
The JW Marriott in Venice is not only one of the most prestigious hotels in Italy, but in all of Europe. Inhabiting its own private island, it is a short water taxi ride from St. Mark’s Square, as well as from Marco Polo Airport.
The event spaces at the JW Marriott can accommodate groups of up to 380, and its numerous breakout rooms make it perfect for large conferences. With 266 bedrooms and suites, the hotel can accommodate large groups and has a handful of luxury villas for VIPs.
