Venues Fit For A Princess

16 May 2018

It’s literally all anyone is talking about, and the news of Meghan and Harry’s nuptials won’t be stopping any time soon. If you want to spot the happy couple on their wedding day we imagine you’re probably reading this blog on your phone from a tent somewhere near the Windsor relief road. If you’re not, and you fancy a right royal party of your own, why not consider one of these fabulously fancy venues for your next event – hand picked by our team of venue finders!

Kensington Palace

There is nowhere else suitable for a royal to reside. Kensington Palace is home to members of the royal family, including the TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children. Prince Harry and Meghan will be upgrading from their two-bedroom cottage to a 21-room house, next door to Will and Kate!

The moment your guests arrive, they will be stunned by the elegance and history of the palace. From the grand Orangery, where up to 300 guests can enjoy drinks, to the Privy Chamber, perfect for dinners up to 40, Kensington Palace offers a great variety of event spaces.

The Tower of London

The Tower of London has served many purposes including royal residence, barracks, and home to The Crown Jewels. The 900-year-old castle houses an incredible collection of jewels, but Meghan will have to wait until she is married to get her hands on the dream princess tiara.

The mighty Tower of London has stood in service of the monarch, but now your guests can experience the Tower of London at a private event. There are wonderful spaces for dinners, meetings and drinks receptions. The Crown Jewels lie securely behind 2,000kg vault doors, but before laying their eyes on the collection, your guests can enjoy a reception in the spacious Hall of Monarchs.

Coworth Park

This stunning hotel in Ascot has been chosen as the last place Prince Harry will sleep as a singleton! He and his groomsmen will be staying at this luxurious hotel the night before the wedding. This incredible 5-star hotel is also where royalty and socialites alike spend their days drinking Pimms and soaking up the sun during the Royal Windsor Cup Polo – Coworth Park is the only hotel in the UK with its own polo grounds!

Coworth Park will work fabulously for any high-end incentives, board meetings, and off-sites. The service and facilities are certainly of regal standard and we are sure they will even impress even the Duke of Sussex!

The Goring

This quintessentially British hotel which dates back to 1910, is the oldest privately owned luxury hotel in London and the closest to Buckingham Palace.
The hotel was awarded a Royal Warrant in 2013 and is the only hotel to have been awarded this award by the Royal family. The Goring has a number of great royal connections such as being the hotel where the Duchess of Cambridge stayed the night before she got married to Prince William. As well as being where the Queen Mother also used to dine on a regular basis – making it a firm royal favourite!

The Goring works well for high end C-Level private dinners and meetings and has three stunning individually decorated rooms. The smallest only holding seven for a boardroom meeting and eight for lunch.
The largest of the hotel’s private rooms is The Garden Room which has its own conservatory leading out to The Goring Gardens and delegates have access to their own private patio. This would work well for larger meetings for up to 50 in theatre set-up, 100 standing for an evening drinks reception or 44 for a seated dinner.

Clivden House

The fantastic Cliveden House hotel in Berkshire is where Meghan Markle and her wedding party will be spending the night before she officially joins the royal family this Saturday. There are a number of breathtaking suites at Cliveden House. Rumour has it that Meghan and her mother will be staying in the aptly named ‘Prince of Wales Suite’.

Cliveden House is perfect for high-end retreats, company off-sites, meetings and team building events. With a newly refurbished and award-winning spa, 376 acres of grounds and a boathouse on the River Thames the event possibilities are endless! There are two restaurants and eight different event spaces so you can dine in the hotel’s signature restaurant or in an intimate private room depending on how the mood takes you.
