After a period of company growth and a recent rebrand, Funding Circle were looking to reward their team for a fantastic year with a Christmas party that was edgy, interesting and a little off piste!
With numbers at around 400, we were looking to secure a contemporary central London space that would have the capacity for dancing, food, and fun – with the option to get creative with the theming. After considering a variety of venues that could have potentially fit the bill, we suggested The Vaults at Waterloo.
What we did
- We’d normally work with our client on guest registration, but Funding Circle had a fun alternative. To enter the party, you had to know the password. Sing a song about space (David Bowie’s Space Oddity proved very popular!) and gain entry!
- In order to help guests find The Vaults on arrival, we worked with the venue to create an awesome piece of bespoke graffiti artwork outside which created some great photo opportunities before entry, really putting the Funding Circle brand at the heart of the event. Because there was potential for the venue to be a bit tricky to find we also organised a spaceman and an alien to guide guests from Waterloo Station to the Vaults.
- The space was decorated with a fantastic ‘Cosmic Christmas’ theme throughout the festive period which was perfect for the vibe Funding Circle was after.
- We also brought in some fantastic entertainment, the most popular being Rockaoke (karaoke with a live band) which was a real hit with the guests and provided an activity as well as entertainment for everyone. Followed up by a DJ so people could party until late, we thought this worked as the perfect Christmas party combination.
Following the event, Funding Circle were in touch to let us know the feedback had been amazing.
